Open Studio designed by Nick Mauss
On April 28, 2018 families were invited to explore the legacy of ballet through movement, costume, and character. Inspired by artworks in the exhibition Nick Mauss: Transmissions, parents and kids transformed themselves into a character of their choosing by creating a costume and then posing for a collaborative portrait. Dancer Alexandra Albrecht worked with families and suggested ways that they could express their characters by making shapes with their bodies.
