In March 2018, families, teens, and school groups collaborated with artist Stina Puotinen to create an immersive installation inspired by the rolling hills and imaginative rural landscapes in Grant Wood’s artwork. Participants contributed to a huge countryside mural, constructed fantastical plants using recycled materials, and created large-scale sculptural objects inspired by what they saw in Wood’s paintings.
