Touring at Frieze Los Angeles
I arrived in Los Angeles just a few weeks ago after leaving the Whitney Museum where I worked for over six and a half years. Last week I was a Private Tour Guide for Frieze, Los Angeles and had the pleasure of working with over seventy galleries based in LA and across the globe. The fair took place at Paramount Pictures Studios. A number of artists were commissioned to create works that were encountered in the New York Street backlot, creating "a disorienting atmosphere where visitors are in two places at once: an artificial New York City within Los Angeles."
