Andy Warhol Family Day

Parents and kids were invited to the Whitney to explore Warhol’s early drawings, celebrity portraits, and huge abstract artworks at Andy Warhol Family Day. Participants explored the galleries to learn how the artist became famous for making art about popular culture—from Coke bottles and soup cans to movie stars. Families worked with educators in the Laurie M. Tisch Education Center to create Pop Art costumes with Warhol inspired face painting and took part in a giant coloring party!
