In the spring of 2010 I acted as Assistant Curator for Visual Dialogues, in the Tate Britain’s education department. On March 14th and 21st, we produced two large-scale events inviting young British creatives—including musicians, designers, nail artists, barbers, and more—to respond to Chris Ofili’s work. The program, Bring the Noise, was designed to further open the museum’s doors to young audiences and engage them with the Ofili retrospective at the museum. Check out some of the performances below.

If you missed your chance to see grime star Tinie Tempah's recent performance at Tate Britain you can catch it all right here. We filmed him dropping his exclusive freestyle response to Chris Ofilis painting No Woman, No Cry, 1998 at Tates Bring the Noise event.

Dubstep-Pop Princess GoldieLocks responds to Chris Ofilis work at the recent Bring the Noise event. Get the low down on her artistic process as she explores the many layers of Third Eye Vision, 1999.

We asked London Grime musician Tinie Tempah to come and look around the new Chris Ofili exhibition at Tate Britain and share his thoughts.
