Collaborative Collages!
In this large-scale Open Studio program, families explored composition, layering, and color in the bold and dynamic works of Laura Owens. The artist has a wildly creative approach to painting and incorporates cartooning, animals, images from pop culture, and music, into her work, challenging the notion of what painting can be. Inspired by Owens’s work, adults and kids created huge collaborative collages using unexpected materials.
